Role OverviewThe BMA is looking for professional drivers to operate buses and heavy motor vehicles, ensuring high standards of safety, responsibility, and professionalism in all tasks.South African job opportunitiesKey Responsibilities:Vehicle Maintenance and Reporting: Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections, report incidents or accidents, and maintain logs for fuel, mileage, and operations.Transport and Delivery: Safely transport staff, documents, and goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries.Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, government regulations, and internal procedures while securely managing sensitive documents.Customer Service: Assist guests with disabilities, provide professional service, and maintain a safe, hygienic, and secure environment.Work Schedule Flexibility: Be available for flexible hours, including potential overtime as needed.Minimum Qualifications and Experience:Education: Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent (NQF 4).Driving License: Valid Code EC (unendorsed) driver’s license and a Professional Driving Permit (PDP) for categories P & G.Experience: At least 5 years of driving experience with buses and/or heavy motor vehicles.Knowledge: Understanding of the Border Management Authority Act, Road Safety Regulations, Public Service Regulations, and government systems.Additional Requirements:Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime.Keen attention to detail in vehicle maintenance, safety regulations, and customer service.
